PENOPT Prices

PENLAB is a free (GPLv3.0) open-source code and can be downloaded here. PENLAB was developed in cooperation with NAG Ltd.

PENOPT prices are given without VAT. EU customers should provide their VAT number or add 19% VAT to the listed price. Customers in Germany must add 19% VAT (MwSt).

The prices are given in Euro currency.

The prices are one-time fees for a perpetual license of the current version of the codes. PENFMO license is limited to one year.

Apart from that, there is a free developer license available to academic users. It is limited to three months and can be renewed upon request. The developer license is provided to researchers who

- develop and test optimization software and use PENOPT codes for testing;

- develop related software in which optimization (sub)problems need to be are solved.

Further, we offer an evaluation license for commercial users. This license expires after three months and cannot be renewed. The price of this license is 200 €. This price will apply as a credit towards the purchase price of the commercial license, provided the commercial license is purchased within 30 days of expiration of the evaluation license.

"Academic" users are universities and other higher education institutions, governmental research institutes, and non-profit organizations. All other users are "commercial". "Commercial-department" prices also include companies with less than 50 employees.
